US foreign policy - Indian aspirations

Over the past few years it seems that US is able to have exerted absolute control in all the international affairs and make other country's foreign policies to be in favour of the US. With the rise of countries like China, India purely based on the economic growth, technical manpower, and other countries that constitute the BRICS, the dominance of the US has reduced to certain extent.

The growth of China is a phenomenal one after the war with India in 1962. The Chinese political think-tank took drastic measures and the China shut its to doors for the outside world. Like a caterpillay making a cocoon and breaking it coming out as a beautiful butterfly, China emerged as a rich, powerful and an aggressive nation. Where as the Indian democracy struggled to meet the expectations of its own people never itself asserted as a regional power to aid the smaller nations. As some exceptions it did some work to bring stability in the neighbouring countries but didnot fully involve to get the best possible results. It is here the Chinese and the Indian attitude differs.

Even today India inspite of being a economic center in the global arena with every major product manufacturer wants to enter the market, we are not bargaining what is good for our country. The Civil Nuclear Liability Bill, Double taxation Treaty, the Rafeal fighter Jet deals, the nuclear reactor deals, and many others. When we buy so many products we should have made the companies to give the technology so that our country's technical base also improves.

We have always depended on countries like US, Russia, Germany, etc for technology and support in defense matters. The US putting a huge bounty reqard on Mr.Hafeez Saeed, the JUD chief, who makes a predominantly anti Indian speeches and recruits people to attack India, is an eye wash in the international press. The US never has stopped its billions in aid even though terrrorists roam freely in pakisthan, but has put so many sanctions on Iran with the doubt that Iran has nuclear arms. This implies that US wants to control the fuel resources of the country and Pakistan has no petroleum reserves. Considering this scenario Indians should not feel that US supporting India in any ways. The decisions of the US are always in the interests of its citizens and not of any other country, not even Indians.
