The Big Fight

Ever since the new auction route was taken up for the sale of natural resources a huge opportunity has landed into the hands of govt. to ridicule the CAG, SC. The first failure to generate income from the sale of ONGC shares, which was finally bought by LIC after being arm-twisted by the GOI. Now the 2G spectrum licenses were auctioned but did not generate the expected revenue.

Some big minds may even argue that arbitraty allocation only generate revenue to the govenment, and defenitely these people are the lobbyists of the private companies like the famous Niira Radia. From some article(www.mediacrooks.com) I found that today is the 2nd anniversary of the Radiagate scam, and the TV channels are happy at the death of Bal Thackery otherwise they have to celebrate Radiagate scam, which is difficult.

Now back to 2G specturm sale, quite a few people acknowledge that specturm is not a antique whose value increases with time. It is like a perishable good, whose value decreases with time and when new items are available, old items loose value. When 2G got introduced and the rights sold there was a huge revenue that could have been made by GOI, but Raja made money and has allegedly given the shares to many top politicians. The case is in hearing in SC.

When 3G was auctioned after much pressure, it is the latest technology and GOI made much revenues and the sector was growing. But the interest levels in 4G is lesser as the growth rates have fallen due to the economic volatility and other policy issues(Vodafone Tax case). The failure of the pickup of 3G service is due to lack of infrastructure and high prices. In the present scenario, when many people are changing over from 2G to 3G, the mobile business has come to certain saturation levels, the markert expansion is slowed definetely there would be less takers and hence less revenues. But all the sectors are not sold.

This particular auction may have been done by the government to lose and make te CAG, BJP and others look fools. But by making them look fools, the governemnt itself is in a denial mode. When the govenrment is working for the interests of the commercial corporations there is little that people can expect. Already the Queen has asked her soldiers(dogs) to fight(bark), who are doing this loyalty. In congress the loyalty is rewarded, which was visible in the recent cabinet reshuffle, where loyal telangana MPs are given berths, anti Mamatha  MPs are given berths in cabiner, Khurshid who is a bhattaraju(a flatterer of Rahul Gandhi) is promoted, a true working MP is demoted(Jaipal reddy).

The Queen with the resources with her and the biscuits that she can throw to the dogs like Padma awards, NAC postings, Governor postings, other ministerial postings, money, etc can get all moved down and bury those who are against her. But one lion king has not been threathened by the Queen and her dogs. The Lion belongs to the state of Gujarat. In the indian political forest there can be only one king,The Lion King. The fight between the Lion and the Queen is the biggest.

In a peace loving country called Bharat, the fights are as common as having meals. But there are occacional big fights and its fun to be part of such fights and take sides.
