The lobbyist

The favours from government, policies drafted by the government are in concultation with some chambers, groups infamously called as the lobbyists. Before announcing the budget, the government has a  discussion with the lobbysist and adresses his concerns while sitting in a centralised AC hall run on imported generators consuming large amounts of diesel and drinking the finest of coffee that too may be imported and in cup and saucer from outside India to keep up its WTO commitments.

On the other hand, the farmer, unemployed labourer whose life depends on some aspects of the budget, sits in the hot sun in some corner of the street waiting for some takedar to call him and give him some job and earn some money so that he can feed wife and children who have not eaten for the past two days. He waits and no jobs come because the MNERGA fund is reduced because states cannnot utilize the fund, no infrastructure investment etc.

The poor man finally goes on walking infront of the multiplexes where people walk with platinum chains, gold bracelets, branded wear see this man take a picture just to upload in facebook. As the man walks past a small pan shop, he overhears our Mr. Montek Singh Aluwalia telling a person who spends above Rs.24 a day is above povertyline while getting cheered by the great people like the TATAS, BIRLAS, AMBANIS, BAJAJS, GODREJS, JINDALS, KHANS, THE GANDHIS, BHATTS, and all others and celebrate this achievement in a 7star hotel in Delhi.

The goes to his house and tells her that his is a rich man and asks her for the food and women takes a knife and kills him because her son died of fever caused by hunger. Our media go to her house and report that man committed suicide because he is unable to save his son and ask the lady how she is feeling at that moment. 2weeks later she is made a guest on tv show and asked how would like to move on in life and what are her plans for the future, while people back homes watch this prime time show having their dinner and everyone forgot that woman has still not eaten food for the past 3days.

This is my country. Pity that the poor are not supported but insulted, made a mockery.
