Rituals during ceremonies

Any ceremony of hindus, particularly brahmins, there are many rituals performed. The priest of the ceremony chants some mantras as per the requirement of the shastras/vedas.  Based on the requirement of the sponsor of the ceremony the number and speed of the manthras are varied. This is degrading the beliefs on the purpose of the ceremonies. Who is the cause this problem, both the priest and sponsor.

The tradition of performance is very old and dates back to thousands of years. The cost of the rituals are very high and in the current scenario the common man cannot perform the ritual exactly. Thus the dilution of the process for the cost sake is going on. This a called tradition corruption. The performance and ceromonies has now days became a status symbol and there are many people with huge cash surpluses, want good will of the local people and hence perform very grand ceremonies with much fanefare. They spend huge amounts of money. They build temples, only to showoff their wealth. If this is not the case then they would have simply donated to any temple for doing annadana, but they won't.

We ourselves make mockery of the ceremonies and how can we tell confidently that there is some truth in what we do. Unless we stop making mockery we cannot uphold our traditions and will be corrupted ans we loose our foothold of our country, because traditions hold a community. When traditions are not present, there will be not community and the chain grown till the nation is not there any more. Time has come for people to value their traditions, ceremonies, rituals.
