Biased Journalism

Reading the article regarding the encounter of a boy after 1993 bomb blasts and the fight by the father's boy to get justice is very moving and I wish justice will prevail. similarly there were numerous stories of victims from godhra roits and when a person sees these stories and the language used by the editors, it shows a complete bias favouring the muslims and angst against the hindus. This type of true stories also protray muslims are always victims and hindus are always aggressors, which is not correct.

Let me cite a example of religious politics in  y home town. During the town planning and widening of roads, in a big junction at one corner was a dargah. It was always deserted and no muslim ever came to worship that dargah. When the planners decided to shift the dargah, a large crowd of muslims created a ruccus and forced the planners to change the plan. The road plans changed, the dargah remained, and now people are coming to offer prayers. Quite a story. A temple of ganesha, is also to be removed as part of the plans and there are no protests even though hundreds of worshippers visited the temple from 1975 and is a historic landmark in our town, the hindu community is sending requests after requests to the government to save the temple, but till date the plan remains. No wonder the local MLA is a muslim, but the MP is a hindu and the MP cannot leave the muslim vote banks. Things are not always the way the journalists project.

Worse is the visual media, the bias is so much people feel pathetic about themselves and the pirst priority is to make muslims always to feel better. Why is the media silent about the muslim agression in many places? Why godra word has to be used when Mr.Modi's name is ever printed in the pages or used in visual media. The media is giving titles like scam tainted, cash for votes minister and so on for various politicians etc. Is there any regulating body for the media or it has become a monster blackmailing anyone who comes in its way. Who are the true owners of the various print and visual media houses? Why the plight of kashmiri pandits donot come in the press and why bollywood news take so much prominence? Press people have lost morals inorder to keep the profits for their foreign bosses I suppose.

This mail may be directed to spam, but I will continue to pursue to get some answers till i can. I wish some good sense prevailed in the minds of the journalists and give some unbiased views rather than get news  which sells.
